Caravans for Wonders vs Trade
How shall we use our Caravans? How many should go for Wonder-building and how many should be used for Trade? Some Citizens think we can win with a massive and endless trade strategy; some think we need to focus on Wonders (and of course some want some of both).
What is your opinion on this?

Just enough to get us the wonders we need, the rest should go into new traderoutes.
Furthermore, dont use any caravans for wonderbuilding that are in demand by China.

I like ataws idea of only using the bare amount of caravans needed to build wonders we need.

Seems like what we need is a poll on which WoWs we want. Then, we just plan our caravans to reach critical mass at the time they'll become available.
Everything else for trade.
Any luck in identifying a repeater-city for Hides?

Now, would that poll be part of the City Planner (Zedd) or Imperial Expansion (atomant) job description?

The Minister of Science has usually posted about the tech research choices that lead to the various Wonders. I think he should do any polls concerning them.

Hmm. That would be... me!
Poll coming soon. (at work now)
(But wait!! This may be nothing more than the uninformed, tactless Cavebear rantings we've seen in the past! Maybe I'd better check with atawa for a constitutional ruling first...)

I vote banana because the percentage is not "a priori".
It depends of the importance of the WoW.
If no WoW building in view : 100 % trade.
If a project into the ten next year : reserve 25 then 50 % for WoW.
If Wow accomplishing urges, then 100% of the camels !

And consider that the discovery of a tech that might give us the opportunity for a Wonder may be hastened by sending caravans for trade. The choices are not specific enough. We need to be able to choose among potential Wonders then discuss amongst ourselves/ poll for the pros/ cons of speeding them with caravans.
Yes, we have no bananas . . .
