I want to start a Builders team
Usually when I play a game, tend to be a builder. I like to build up my civ, and only go to war to get something I need or to expand when I am out of room because the stupid computer puts cities all over the place. Anyways I wanted to joing the PTW Democracy game and seeing how there is no Builders team I wanted to start one. If someone else has started one then ignore this and I am sorry, but as far as I know there is none.

Thank you Jack. I have been wanting someone to form a builders team since I formed the warmongers team.
I find it hard to believe that the two most common stragities are finding it difficult to get people to join. In the Demo game, the two biggest political groups are the Hawks (war) and DIA (builders). These two ideas were the only ideas that were strong enough to form and stay political parties.
Come people! Join the Builders party!
If, you don't, I'll call all the DIA members chicken because that can talk the talk in the demo game, but can't walk the walk in PTW! Your all afraid of the Glory of War!

The difference is the AI doesnt know if a human civ is a builder civ...
a human opponent will
a Human warmonger will see a tasty treat, and be frothing at the mouth
Balanced, only way to go

We should start with a team Charter or Constitution, and hope we arn't the ones with the crappy starting location.

Well of course we would chose a civ with industrial trait. I would like us to be Egypt or maybe Babylon. If you guys got civs you like to be post it here. Also we need to come up with a good name for our team. I think we should worry about the other stuff once we have more then 2 members in our team.

Yes, but like I said, if all the teams push for balanced, then picking what team your on turns into a popularity contest.
Sorry Jack. Off topic there. Join the Builders team so we can all prosper and destroy our opponetts in a multi-site game!

I'm not part of this team, but if you’re going to have any chance I'd recommend the Greeks... you'll need that 3 defense to ward off early assaults.

It seems that everyone thinks that our team will fail, that we will fall easily to the warmongers. I say that it is the warmongers who will fall! Come and join the builders team and prove everyone wrong!

I'm not intending to join this team, either, but I aslo recommend the Greeks. Both for the 3 defense from the start of the game AND for the civ traits (scientific and commercial is a great combo for builders). I think the Carthaginians are also a potential choice for you due to the industrious trait, but those numidian wariors are a tad expensive...
The Persians or Ottomons probably have the best traits for a builder civ (Industrious+Scientific), but they have offensive rather than defensive UUs (though a good offense CAN be the best defense at times...).

I have played the Ottomans, I really like their UU, it helped out a lot. I think that they would be really good civ too to use. But come on, join the team!!! Lets see if a builders team can win!

I would join the team if we could scrap together enough people to make rank. Well, anyone else?

I've raised suspicion already? I guess that's what I get for keeping myself limited to short, declarative statements. Ah well. But, seriously, I know the chance of a builder team surviving are slim, but at least we'll leave some beautiful ruins, right?

I think I'd like to join the Builder's team, its certainly the way I like to play the game. It is possible to build your Empire and defend it at the same time so I don't think we will be as much a pushover as everyone thinks!

The builder's team is exactly what I looked for. However, as long as I don't have PtW, I can't be a player as active as I was in the C3DG

Small version (15*19)
I know it lacks colour, but I really suck at art, so I can't change it...

I would be the Greeks (Hoplite) or Americans (Industrious + Expansionist); show those stupid warmongers who's boss.
