These are just off the top of my head from answering questions in the lovely MP lobby....

1) In the staging area, verify with the host that you have the same copies(legal vs. warez) and versions. Prevents many entering crashes.

2) PBEM and Hotseat- How to start. Host colects players on staging screen. Check boxes, launch to Setup screen.(note:LAN has no staging sceren and goes straight to Setup). Use GameType Drop Menu

3) Loading Games- Have host rehost, collect players in staging screen. Check boxes, launch to Setup Screen. Use GameMode drop menu. Save File loads on host machine and is then sequentially sent to other players. Use red boxes to rearrange player order after load as needed. Note: Don't get scared if it lists Barbarian Cheifdom as your Civ. That's just a holder until it loads.

3A)Loading Scenarios- see above- may crash if everyone does not have the files for the scenario

3B) OutOfSynch Error. OOS's were planned by Firaxis to deal with dropped players/internt lag. They produce small files that load much quicker than a normal save game. Follow Step 3 instructions loading the resynch.sav file.

If anyone else has anything to add/correct, please do. This will be fun once some patches come out and I'd rather have people learn their way around sooner than later.
