Did you see the poll to the end? I think I recall Emperor taking an early lead but Monarch actually winning. There was also far more votes for Regent than Deity so a Re-vote probably would have only made a stronger case for Monarch.

What's wrong with it?
The game is going to take a lot of time, and accelerated production is the only way to reduce it to some reasonable period.

it's a different game. We should play "standard Civ" for our first ever mulit-team civ3 demo game(or any civ game? were there any Civ2 multi-team demo games?).
for accelerated production

btw: accelerated doesn't speed up turns. just makes the early turns longer.

It speeds up the game alva.
Fewer shields to build things. Fewer food to grow.

I also think tech rates are effected... hmm.
And the two AI civs can easily get way too powerful with acc.prod.
Especially on higher levels when their bonuses are multiplied.
OBS: (Played acc.prod. once on emperor, and got no rivers...
unrealistic things happened and I was beaten by the frogs.)

I think humans abuse the acc prod more than the AIs do... Maybe not, but thats the way it seemed on my last acc prod game.

That actually did come up while the game was being set up; my team had a dispute over Carthage, for one. Don't know if there were any others; GS was surprisingly unchallenged on Egypt.
Rock-Paper-Scissors was used to determine who got the civ.

Well in theory it was, although the team that lost R-P-S actually ended up with Carthage

Here is a rule proposal I think is on its place:
Code:
|
"In the case of team membership abuse for spying on other teams,
the spys employer (cheating team) shall cede, at least,
half of its cities onto the victim team.
The spy himself will seek a permanent exile in nomansland." |
Ok, what do you say?

You should post in the team threads in the main forum (you might have to dig a bit to find them) and announce your interest in joining their team.

You can apply to certain teams and hope that they'll accept you. If you have some experience and good character then it shouldn't be a problem. Want a run-down of the teams?
Btw, you look a bit suspicious, I have to admit. You've only joined today and never posted before. I'm afraid that yYou might have to prove to some people that you're not a spy for another team or another site (rivals in the InterSite Democracy Game may be seeking ways to look into Apolyton strategy by infiltrating the PTWDG teams).
