I Thought PTW CAme with WW2 MOD?
I could have sworn that I read a review that said PTW would come packaged with a ww2 set of units, or maybe a ww2 mod, and another set of feudal japanese units. This would be great, and I was very excited about these aspects of PTW.
Alas, I can not find these new options anywhere. Although I thought all of the extra mods added was awesome, now I dont have to install and reinstall to switch between regular civ and other mods.
If anyone knows what I am talking about please help me out. If I am just loosing my mind let me know as well.
BTW: I love ptw and have finally had internet games work, I can't wait for the 1.05 patch!
Maybe it was MOO3 that had the new units?

Yes, it's in there.
Under PTW, go to the folder that says "extras."
All those units are in that folder. However, it's tricky adding them to the game.

WWII
The very first thing I did when I got PTW working was check for the WWII scenario.
I wan *intensely* disappointed to find out that I had misunderstood the advance information. Units may well be there, but there's no CivIII version of a WWII scenario.
I suppose that I will just have to wait for some clever 'poly member to create a playable one.

I wrote up a little tutorial here:

There are more than 2 WW2 units included...it's about 20 I think (maybe more). They are well-done, though.

Maybe use Victory Points ....?
I haven't played around with Victory Points yet.
Would it be possible, for a WWII scenario, to incite the AI to constant warfare by, e.g., lining the borderlands between Germany and the USSR (say, literally from Moscow to Berlin) with Victory Point locations?

I liked the WWII scenario of CIV2. But is the game motor of CIV3 really optimal for historical war scenarios, with cultural borders etc? For example, a Falkland War Scenario would be almost impossible.
Off-topic: There are millions of WW2 games and Gulf-war games out there. But you never see games from the more dirty wars - WW1, Iran-Iraq, Eritrea-Ethiopia (war not yet over). When will we get a game called "Battlefield "1982"? But these would not sell many copies, would they?
