Can you play the game with less than 7 factions? If so, does it still keep score?
Thanks,

No, it is not possible to play the game with less than 7 factions. Although is possible to mix Alien Crossfire's new factions with the "old" ones, you still have to play with 7 factions, which is partially justified by the original storyline.

You can start a random game, save it, turn on the scenario editor, kill off the factions you don't want, save as scenario and then play it from there. If you do not set any objectives in the scenario editor, it will keep score just like a normal game.

Oops, sorry, TheSmitty! Kinjiru is right, I forgot about the scenario editor, mainly because I never use it (too many bugs...)
