Hey, ANOTHER Problem with Multiplayer!
this isnt a crash/lag/prefrences problem, so it might actually stay open for a few days!
shortly before PTW came out, i expressed how i loathed how MP SAVs can be opened in civ2 and done whatever to. and yea, it works in PTW. i tried it with one of the savs me and me friend had and sure enough, it loaded up fine, and i could play on, scan the map, whatever.
the odd thing was, when HE loaded up the save, he saw MY units/cities/map, but he saw HIS minimap
this is bad. i know ming will be disappointed with this one.

That's really a sad thing
I really have faith the lag problems will be fixed, but this one will not
Any Firaxian can comment on this?
I'm sure much of us will realle appreciate it if it can be changed.

Passwords? They are in PBEM already.
Simple code at the beginning of sav files to prevent MP game types from being opened with the wrong menu options?

Well... passwords didn't really work for Civ II, because you could always get past them EASILY by openning it as a scenario and just go into edit mode... This problem I thought had been solved with Civ III. Little did I know that they left the easier way in the game.
