Crash Civilization3X.exe : a solution
Like several people here, I had a crash when I press the ''Host'' button in the Multiplayer menu. I had a windows message talking about a crash with Civilization3X.exe.

I found a solution : just delete the ''ptw.ini'' file in the ...\Civilization III\Civ3PTW directory. It should work.
You'll have do delete this file each time you want to play.

I tried it several times, it works perfectly.

Tell me if it works for you.

you could also try deleting ALL content in the file (but keep the file intact), and setting the file properties to Read Only.

Just a thought.
