Most importantly, is the version of SMAC and Alien Crossfire the up to date patched versions?

Well, I can now answer my own question. The Pack includes:
1 CD with both games
SMAC v4 (latest version)
SMACX v2 (latest version)
The Prima Strategry Guide for SMAC
The standard SMAC manual
The SMACX addendum
The Tech Tree Poster from SMAC

I bought mine because when I went to purchase SMACX the Pack was around $7 more so I bought that instead just to get the patched versions and to have only 1 CD.
