Error message when running SMAC!?!?!
I have SMAC ver4 on a PC in work the machine is a p200, several gb free on the hard drive, adequate monitor and vid card to run SMAC with the lo-res caviar units.

Just yesterday some more memory was put in the machine, it now has 144 megs of RAM, but SMAC now bombs out with an 'Unable to allocate draw-buffer; Program will be terminated' error message.

This appears when the title screen appears, but before the menu options come out from the right side of the screen. Prior to the memory going in SMAC worked fine, all other progs on the machine are still working perfectly.

Any ideas on this one, as SMAC does help time pass by on a slow day

Do you have DirectX installed on your work computer?

Am I the only one who saw a connection between "new hardware installed" and "new error msg displayed" ?
Might be a connection there...

And a slow night and day and night and day and....well until I fall a sleep exhausted from batteling those blasted jets that Morgan loves so much.
