I have to agree, that ground combat REALLY intrigues me a lot. I was always annoyed that you couldn't do anything with ground combat in MOO2 apart from line up as many blokes as you could and click "invade". This game will enable me to live that dream!

I agree with you Alex-C, except the problem for some weird reason I actually enjoyed watching the little guys run back and forth and shoot each other to see whether I would survive.

I really hope that isn't replaced with a spreadsheet (and from the screenshot, it really looks like it has)...

Well, not so much back and forth as just forth. Until both sides were a yard apart, then they just stood there blasting each other. And yes, I liked watching it too.

I also made a point of enjoying the 'apocalyptic' theme played when you destroyed a colony in Moo1.
