Allow Cultural Conversions - On or off?
Just wondering what everyone thinks about leaving this on or off. Though I leave all victory conditions enabled I turned this off. Though it may be a bit of a cheat as it makes conquest easier, it was just too unrealistic for me to lose 20 tanks just because an enemy city near me had a temple. So whats everyones opinion, is turning it off a cheat or just like enabling/disabling a victory condition or two?

I always leave it on. For the most part,, I can't remember losing a large # of units in a conversion. I tend to either starve down a big captured enemy city or bomabard the bejeezus out of it until it's pop 6 or less before capture (industrial era or later).
When it comes down to war, I try to gamble only when I need to.

On, but then again, turning it on makes the game easier for me as the flips are almost always towards me.

yep, as a more of a builder-type player more cities switch to me than the other way round. so i'll leave it on
does actually "initiate propaganda" work when flips are off?

I would leave it on. I love CF, I play culture heavy, I don't have any realism problems with it. IMO, a good feature.

I always leave it on: because I'm a builder, I make more culture than troops. It's also very convenient in order to have an homogenous territory (i.e, not having rival cities plopped down in the middle of your empire, and having to bear with it until war)
Also, it forces you to care when you're conquering, which adds a layer of strategy IMHO

Cultural conversion is implemented poorly in the game. I will turn it off.

I leave it on as I gain around 2-4 cities a game that way and in my wars I leave the capturing of the large cities as the last step (after bombardment and capturing the smaller cities).
