Unfortunately it seems I will not be posting here or anywhere ever again.
Not that it is much of a loss to any of you. The Homeland Security Act being passed by the United States Government, severly limits freedom of speech including mine. I hope it is not passed, but if it is, then so be it. I have a lot to say on the matter, but I will not because I don't want this expression of mine being used against me in the future by government and corporate interests.

Although I was gone anyway, now I may never return. If you are wise, you will to when this law is enacted.

I think we have a right to be concerned... I was silenced here yesterday for bringing up Bush's statement that he doesn't want to have to follow "a big book of rules" that was made in his speech about the Homeland Security.

Heck, it's hard enough using some of the search features here. I'm waiting for the government to come and make it more efficient.

I don't give a damn what you guys do via ICQ/AIM/IM or emails...

It has no place on this site. One more post directed at Thorn from you and you are toast. It's that simple.

I'm English and one of the few things i envied about the USA (see footnote) is that they have a constitution, is this act comprimising that?

also: weather, amussement parks, films and games etc. being released earlier and cheaper CE

The act isn't necessarily directly compromising the constitution, but it is rather hypocritical for a regime and a party supposedly promoting "limited government".

The reason why I posted that thread (which was closed immediately afterward) was because Bush made a statement essentially saying that the President should not be subject to laws meant to constrict him. And in fact, this isn't the first thing Bush has said suggesting that democracy is an unnecessary hindrance. I found it alarming that this remark was even allowed in the speech, and its a greater sign, I think, that the current American regime has maintaining the constitution on the very bottom of the list. I think if they could find a way to justify usurping the constitution, they would. There's been talk like his before... in Brazil. From our dictator Presidents.

You are trying to make it sound like you were censored...

If you had bothered to read your own thread when it was closed, you would know that it was closed because there already was a thread on the topic... not for any other reason...

No need to get defensive... when I originally mentioned it I had this with it. I know why it was closed.
