H Tower,
you should know better, it is too addictive here, so you'll be back.
'Enjoy' school and don't get to depressed, if the teacher doesn't desappear when you click 'delete' (you can't remove the read-only option).
Was good having you with us and I still hope you'll be back soon.

What IS the matter with SA rugby at the moment... I can't put my finger on it...
I think SA have a good chance with the CWC this year... home fiels advantage, a monumental creaming of Pakistan...

|
I think the citizens shoud only vote on general matters and decide the overall policy the President and its Ministers will have to enforce. Moving units or more generally taking the decisions in order to reach the objectives previously settled through the polls should be the role of the President and its Ministers. The President could use its voice to break any tie.
The citizens should not be entitled to decide on everything and our right to vote can be used to "fire" a President or Ministers who are not taking the proper actions reminding them the President and the Ministers are representing the people (us).

As MoD isnt it my single decision on combat/stealth unit's movement? Or do we have to have a poll on every idea of movement of said units?
|
Although you as MoD can determine what to do with our units, it's not called a Democracy Game for nothing. Debate is the core of every democracy. There's no need for us to poll every single movement order, but I do think you should start threads to discuss and/or poll what policies to follow. Should the southern Warrior explore south or east? Or should it go back to the city and garrison it? Or explore the river and fall back to the city if Barbs threaten it? In the end it's your call but the Citizens should be consulted, that's what democracy is all about...

Well theres already a descussion thread about the southern warrior, although the poll runs longer than the next chat, ill just take the current vote count into consideration.

If you have not done so already, please vote in the admendment poll ( http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=75308) - it's important that we get everyone's opinion, and even more so that we reach a quorum.

better late than never.......
Happy birthday (for the other day!) Iskallin
hope you had plenty of rotten shark meat to celebrate
Does anyone have different feelings over war with Austria know that we have bumped into Germany(and i gather germany are much stronger than austria?). Shall we be very nice to germany if we can? I get the impression that we need to tackle one of them or we could end up squashed between two more powerful nations what's the word on the 'street' about all this?

Subliminal advertising!
Sir Tamerlin, I hereby pronounce you Lemuria Café Master of Advertising
May all bow to his great reign.
Anyway, I know a lot of you think cricket is an insect... but anyway, some current events. Theres a huge outcry in NZ over the safety of matches being played in Zimbabwe and Kenya. People want the matches moved to South Africa (just as bad a place if you're in the worng place, IMO).
Any of you guys heard about this? Maq, IW and the other Poms among us should
