Stupid keshik question
I was just wondering about the Keshik special abilities regarding mountains... Do the Keshik have a bonus only on mountains, or do they have it on hills as well ? (or any other type of terrain ?)

yeah, Spiffor, it's only in the mountains... which really doesn't make much sense. But since mountains get generated as ranges usually, you can leapfrog from one to the other pretty well.

I think firaxis intended keshiks to cross hill as grassland as well but missed it? Its highly likely that firaxis may change this sometime later in the patch. Anyways, as of right now, I overwhelmingly prefer ansars over keshik. +1 move over treat mountain as grassland has personally more uses for me but I respect and understand the importance of keshik ability.

I doubt it. The beta testers pointed this out to them months ago and their mod (BTM) gives the keshik both bonuses. I think it is working exactly like Firaxis wants it to.

I hope this unit is tweaked. I think the Mongols really got jobbed for a civ that conquered half the world..firaxis really shafted them in PTW.
The Mongols, out of all the civs should not be saddled with a mediocre UU. Yet they are.
The mongol hordes are infamous for their power..all firaxis could come up with is a 4/2/2 knight that treats mountains as grasslands but not hills? Weird. I believe it deserves the same bonus for hills as well.
Any chance this unit will get tweaked in the upcoming patch?

I edited my Keshiks to 4.2.3 with mountains and hills as clear. It works well and I don't find it too strong.

Artifex, Firaxis sticks with most of their design decisions. Each time I've pointed out a unit tweak that I thought was better they've told me "Well, Warp, that's what we included the editor for".

What do you think the mongol keshik should be? Is mountains/hills as grasslands unbalancing/overpowered?
What should the keshiks stats be in your opinion. What would be fair?
