leaderhead uses
Is it possible to use the moving leaderheads of civ 3 diplomacy in a power point presentation? and if so, is this legal without permission or red tape? ( this is just for a small, school class presentation)

Probably not legal, but I think you are safe as I doubt any one will be sending you a cease and desist order.

If you're doing a piece about Civ3, I think you can use stuff from the game. If you're doing a piece about Caesar or someone, you cant use stuff, AFAIK by our laws.

Technically, it might not be totally legal. However, for schoolwork I don't think anyone would sue you. Especially if you reveal the source of the picture. You copy and use pictures from history books, don't you? Why not pictures from computer games?

Since it is school, so long as you included "Civilization 3" in your bibliography there would be no problem...

Isn't is comparable to posting game screenshots on Apolyton? Who would hire a lawyer to stop us from doing that?

Not really - Apolyton label all the shots as coming from Firaxis/Civ3. I belive using them without reference for something else is the problem.

I'm pretty sure Firaxis has bigger fish to fry than someone doing a book report on Caesar, and using his leaderhead.
