We Have To PAY for the Patch?!
Good grief!
I guess I knew that was their plan all along, though I had hoped against it.
I wouldn't pay more than $5 for it; maybe in 2-3 months, especially since seeing how lousy the reviews are.

The patch is free, download from firaxis.com. upgrades ptw to 1.04. fixes a few issues. Theres another patch on the way.

patches are free
the expansion on the other hand costs money
considering PTW doesn't really fix anything wrong with civ3 I wouldn't call it a patch. In fact the expansion adds more problems to the game .
