I am aware of these. If you search at dictionary.com you can find a lot of other meanings, too. I thought Bob is an abbreviaton, some sort of Apolyton wordplay. Why would anyone call the Planet "Bob" is beyond me.

I've just realized that I like Apolyton more, even if Bob means something more than just "Robert". So I voted "Apolyton".

Something from the Civ3 Demo game i recon. They were going to name the continent and someone said that in all our continents (on Earth that is) the names 1st letter is the same as the last. Then they decided to call the continent 'bob'. I think it was something like that, thats what they told me when i asked atleast

Alva, thanks. I still don't like it. Bob is so ... boring.
Yeah, a very close race.

Bob is really boring. Apolyton lacks any fantasy, everything here is called either Apolyton, Notylopa, Banana or alike. Oh well. Abstain.

I agree with you, but I voted Bob. Apolyton is the most unoriginal of the two, and one has to be chosen eventually, so Bob it is.
Will we ever have a winner on this one? A race between two not so interesting candidates. This reminds me of the Bush/Gore race for presidency.

You forgot to put the "as in not vote..." in brackets after Abstain this time. Does this mean that with enough votes our planet will be called Abstain?

"Bob"? Yeuch. Whatever bloody happened to calling that continent "Graceland", since it was surmised it must look like Elvis' head?
For this poll I have to vote abstain. Apolyton is boring as a planet name, anything beats Bob, and I prefer Abstain as a name.
Shame we couldn't write in our votes.

ABSOLUTELY NOT BOB. Technically not all contenents have the same start-end letters since Europe and Asia arn't truely contenents, they are parts of the contenent of Eurasia. Europe is, geologicaly, simplely one of the 4 cratons (continental "cores") of Eurasia, the others being Siberia, China, and India. The borders of the cratons are the Ural and Himalayan Mts. Geology lesson over.

It looks like we could have another tie. If that happens DO NOT mention a court getting involved.

I have no intention of having to leave this game completely because a court can't come to a decision.

I was the one who posted the last two polls and I thought ahead long enough to consider that I should state (for you smart-alecs out there) that a vote "abstain" was an abstention from voting, not a vote for "abstain" as the planet name... Apparently, some of you took GF's lack of such a statement in the poll as license to consider an abstention a vote for "abstain" as the name
