I forgot how to disable font shading.

Hi, for the life of me I cannot figure out how to disable the font shading or whatever it is that they mention you could turn for smoother gameplay.

You are probably referring to the "Smooth edges on screen fonts" option in Windows display properties (or something like that. I use WinXP and I access it this way: right-click on "My Computer" - choose 'properties' - go to the last tab (Appearance?) and you'll find it there.
