Moving the Start Date Back?
Okay, with the emergence of a few new teams, and the UK start date moved back, how many people would be in favor of moving the start date back to accomodate these groups?

I'm being opressed by Infogrames (read, I preordered at amazon.co.uk), but I don't think we should wait more. We waited enough already...

I don't see the need to wait.
If we wait for every minor thing, we will never get started.

Im in favor of moving it back
if we can get 8 human civs, its better all around IMHO. And the more time we have to plan, the less chaos when the game starts.

I do not want to move this start date back. We've been waiting around for long enough.

I think we should start on time. We don't need 8 human teams (do we want that many? the game will last for years as it is) and the UK release date shouldn't effect things too much.
Are any team captains in the UK?

Members are already restless over the start date as it is. Move it back and we're likely to lose some.

Get going! The UK people can order from the Internet (I did, from Holland).

You're not the only one. I know I'll love it when the game starts, but this limbo state is dull. The teams we have now are ready, all we're doing is hanging around.

Start as soon as possible, we seem to have 6 teams. I suspect we could end up haveing a few more for 8 even.

No need for a delay - it's not like the game will be vastly different from without PtW for the first few turns that we get done before it comes out in the UK.
Besides, PtW is released today in Oz and NZ, and that must mean everyone in the world has it. I don't believe this "UK delay" nonsense for a moment - if something is released in NZ, it has been on sale everywhere else in the world for at least the last 2 months, usually 6 months.
Of course, I don't have my computer here, so it is of no consequence to ME, unless we put the start date back to February 11....?

You don't really need the game the first 2 to 3 weeks do you.

If so many people want to start on Dec.1, why is the "wait at all costs" option winning at the "Wait for the patch?" poll ?

They are people who don't want us to play the game, it could be over 6 months until the next patch comes out.
If the "wait until July 2003" whatever the costs option wins I propose to start an alternate one if anyone wants to play against me.

I want to play against you. Is that a problem that I don't have PtW yet ?

Nope just tell me your moves and what you want your cities to build and I guarantee at least half of it will be carried out.
