Do you mean you dont see any ruins to enter at all? or you never get any techs/units/money from the ruins?

A small question on which difficuilt level are you playing, if you are playing on the two first ones you won't get ruins and will play against the same civs all the time.

Switch to a higher level of difficulty or use a custom map for your current level of difficulty.

Actual I did not find out it on my own I just read enough threads here about this topic. IIRC it is also in the FAQ but it is not in its table of content.

You will realise pretty quickly that "impossible" is rather easy too. Might want to try a mod.

I’ve had some problems with MedMod too… but it’s definitely worth the hassle . Just don’t forget to get Cradle and SAP!

On the subject of MedMod, I just spent the better part of a day on my dodgy computer with its dodgy internet connection downloading it from Wes's website, only to find that I'm always getting "Unable to find/load Targa" terminal messages, as well as "The program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down....

I had this problem when i unzipped the pics folder. Make sure you unzip the pics into ...\Call To Power 2\ctp2_data\default\graphics\pictures. By default the medmod "pictures.zip" will unzip them into a folder called "Med mod II Pics", then you should just move them into your pictures folder as above.
