Subjects accross the empire were in mourning today, on hearing that Her Royal Highness Queen Victoria had died peacefuly in her bed.

This suprise announcment followed months of back strange dissaperences of members of the Royal Family, which the new monarch insists had nothing whatsoever to do with him

In his first proclumation Greeny condems the warmongering and despicble aggression shown by Germany against the Netherlands, and sees it as a possible preparation for invasion of Britain and / or France!

In unrelated news, the North African city of Tangier has been annexed by British troops for security reasons, related to securing Gibralta. And the Royal Navy has undertaken manuvors in the North Sea and English Channel.

A shippment of tools is on it's way to Le Harve from Northampton.

Germany is appalled by Britain's accusations. Herr Kanzeller would like it to be known that the Nederlanders have asked to enter the union. Furthermore it is acknowledged that Belgium is within the French sphere of influence but His Excellency sees no reason why England would want a presence on the continent if her intention was not invasion of the Reich.

Oh and Valuk the reason for grey roads is that brown roads mean dirt and I wanted something that would represent paved highways/railroads.

Conference Held in Istanbul
New Alliance Declared!

The Streets of Istanbul were cleaned this last month in preparation for a conference between the heads of state of the Ottoman Empire, Italy, and Great Britain. Other nations were invited, but had snubbed their nose at the whole purpose of the conference.

To create a new alliance block. The new alliance, aptly named the Ocean Adjacent Alliance (OAA) was created in response to the expansionist pollicies of the Continental Alliance. 'The purpose of this alliance is to band together in protection, lest the continental gun barrel aims down our sites,' Kawa Yannes is said to have said. This is a new dawn for the state of Ottoman, and we will ally with and grow with the best.

The formal alliance was signed on August the 21. Long live the OAA!

A young slavic aristocrat in exile who has been quite popular in court recently has seized power from the "incompetent degenerate fools who were ruining the country with their debauchery", the Romanov family.

In other news, the Imperial Fleet, northern division has engaded the Swedish army for control of Stockholm in support of the Swedish royalists.
Also, Russia's ally, Serbia has prepared an expedition to help the Imperial Horse and Grenadiers captur rebellious Romania.

Today France, Germany and Russia have entered into a grand land power alliance to counter the slimy submariner alliance. From this great day forward the world will revolve around the Axis formed by Paris, Berlin, and Moscow.

Amsterdam Joins the Union

Parades and celebrations were held in Amsterdam as Herr Kanzeller visited to oversee the transfer of power. The Dutch monarch was executed by guillotine in public and Governor von Moltke was sworn into office.

Kriegsmarine Destroyers and Cruisers Patrol French Coast

The minor ships of the Kriegsmarine have been assigned the duty of patroling the coast of the continent between the Basque coast and the coastal waters of the Fatherland. While patrolling the new Coast Guard found that a large fleet of British ships is sitting in international waters between London and Amsterdam, the fleet admirals conferred and it was discovered that this was simply a trade mission and escort

Jmarks, it was because you played with the old version (my fault

) with a 1/3 multiplier and then when the next player played with a 1/8 multiplier the AI had some extra movement in every unit and moved them, regardless of ctrl-n. This has happened in any game where rules files didn't match up.

O.K. slight problem: as soon as I started my turn and tried to move a frieght it came adjacent to a German unit and the stupid A.I. decleared war on me! I hadn't realy done anything so i guess it's OK for me to replay it: Germany please set your attitude to Cordial or so otherwise we'll have an unintended declaration of war, I'll just try to avoid all german units for this turn...

Ok, even if the AI declares war just set your attitude to worshipful at the end of your turn and I'll make peace with your AI next turn.

good point, but i've played the turn now and paed the AI off with 1000 gold, so I'd like it back please!

Not much happened this turn:
Alliance with Turks officaly confirmed
peaceful trade convey traveling into France dismayed by French troops blocking the way, waits for them to move out the way. ships with trade goods enroute to france diverted, North Sea Naval Exercises continue.
Unabe to fulful deal with Italy as attitude needs to be set to worshipful.
