Firaxis, what this game needs...
What this game needs is the ability to go from MP -> PBEM-> MP etc at will.

I completely agree. It would be SOOOO convenient if I could load up my PBEM game as a turnbased game so that we could do an hour or two cram session once a month. It would be an event to look forward to! Do you think the coding would be very difficult?
UberKruX is totally right - I really hope that bug gets fixed in the next patch. I am an awefully trusting person, but this bug could seriously crush my faith in the Civ community. The coding for this one shouldn't be much a problem at all...

I agree entirely.

Unfortunately, it does.
From within a PBEM game, selecting the load game option will allow you to reload your game. When it executes however, you are no longer required to enter a password for anyone and the game proceeds as a password-less hotseat game.

I hope they are listening. I generally like the idea of PBEM, but with more than a handful of people, it is an investment of years. Being able to go back and forth would be a great feature to give as a Christmas present... this Xmas!

On top of the MP things it would great if they released an even better editor within the next 8 months or so.

While the patch addresses game faults it doesnt hit these two (one of which could be classified as an improvement I guess).

We have been looking and waiting for a better editor for the past twelve months.
Don't hold your breath.
Oh, those bugs.

it has it and it ignores passwords entirely.
in fact, if you save it on your opponents turn (in a turn based game anyway) you see their units / cities, but oddly enough your minimap.
then theres always the powerbar
