GoGamer.com reliability?
Hey, I was thinking of pre-ordering moo3 from GoGamer.com, which has a cheap price ($40)... Anyone used it before? is it reliable?
Haha, the site says it will ship on 11/27... I wish...
Also, if I order from them will i get it the same day as the day it comes out in stores?

I have not used them, but preorders are a hit and miss deal for me. Chips and Bits was so late on Civ3, I had to cancel and go to the store. A few game showed up the day after it hit the stores. I prefer to go to EB and buy off the shelf unless they offer a really good deal.

I've used GoGamer once or twice and received good service from them. That said, if you want to receive the game at the earliest possible time, you're probably better off going down to the EB now and reserving a copy. There's nothing sadder than seeing a game on store shelves while you're still waiting for your copy to arrive in the mail...

That is so true, also coming in to be told they are all sold out. I am going to take you advice and preorder at the local EB.

Sounds like a plan. I should also add that unless circumstances have changed, preorders do influence the number of copies that an individual EB store will receive. That's why I recommend getting on the reserve lists now.

thanks for the input guys...
Oh well... I ended up using GoGamer, just because it would have been $10 cheaper for me, and as a working man I really need to start grabbing every savings I can...
If I've sat through the several delays, I can wait 1-2 more days...

GoGamer is awesome! Once you start buying from them you will never buy anywhere else again. I tell you those 48hr specials are downright unbelievable. Look at Age of Mythology...$34 there a few days ago. Battlefield 1942 was $24 at gogamer and $44 at the stores. I got Destroyer command for $24 while it was selling for $44 in the stores. Any and I mean any new release game that sells for $44-$49 as a new release will be a 48hr special at gogamer for half the price within 2 weeks after the game is released. I been doing business with these people for a few years now. I get my games in 2 days after I oreder them. Oh I even bought Warcraft 3 there for $27 when it was $49 in the stores. You can save $20 or more nearly everytime you buy a new release from them. Just wait until the new release is a 48hr special which is usually within 2 weeks. Check that site every few days and there is a new 48hr special up there. No I don't work for them...LOL Just a loyal customer and for a VERY good reason.

What the hell is EB? I've seen several people mention it and I, for some reason, can't figure out what it means.
ACK!

Assuming its the same EB as in England, it means Electronics Boutique, which is a popular PC/Console/Game retailer.

None in San Antonio or in Utah that I know of.
Thanks for the response.
After further review, there is one less than 5 miles from my house!
