How about Terra Calme, Nayloone, Cunningham Mts., Sierra Nova, Dera Prime, Mt. Guiness, Leonnard´s Peak, Cambricosa, Fourou, Tharacar, Nico Nova, Newton Plains ...

Unfortunately I haven´t checked the current game yet, so none of the supposes above is related to a special area or city. Just think about having double-names for it always sounds good...

ok hercules. you seem to always have some problem with naming polls. i'm still not sure what your complaint is (i *glanced* at the court thread

) but as it is, i'm just going to put all the names given into 1 poll per regions (they won't all fit in a 4-region multichoice poll), except the ones that are region specific (for example, i won't put "midlands" in the concordia region poll)
any problems?

I acknowledge your effort to resolve this naming issue. I do not want to get into long naming debates ala fm/non fm.
In essence the naming question (and other questions to come) boils down to which voting system does the peacemaking faction wish to adopt. First past the post, majority first preferences, or Single transferable vote or other multi preference polling system. This issue has never been discussed or resolved as far as I am aware here on this planet.

If it is first past the post then we all know where we stand but I prefer STV or multi preference voting system.

As regards regions. elected regional directors should choose name from region poll from those offered, according to faction rules . To change name afterwards should require 2/3 poll.
