Any ideas for recruiting players in local area for MP play?
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for helping to 'recruit' new people into civ2 MP. My friend and I have been playing mge together for years now, and the odd time we can find someone else in our area to play, they almost always get overwhlemed/bored or for some other reason lose interest in civ2. We've tried introducing civ2 to some new people, but most of them aren't too excited about it. Also, the odd one or two who do want to play MP with us, usually get mad because we are better at the game then them (Not that we're all that good, but compared to someone who's hardly played we are). Any help would be appreciated.

civ2 doesn't appeal to all players, its slow, and tedious. most perfer action packed fps, or rts, rpg games.

its forums like these, civfanatics, and places like the zone where you can find the players you need .....

other than that, remember civ2mp is over four years old, and in the gaming industry that makes it a dinosaur..

but its like a drug to some of us, always needing a hit
