Is my watch faulty or the GS is holding the save for over 24 hours?

Yes - they are holding it or Yes - my watch is faulty ?
Hmm, I thought the 24 hour rule is still valid. Maybe I was wrong.

The 24 hour rule should be followed as much as possible if we don't want the game to get delayed too much

I believe the current situation is exceptional enough to justify Gathering Storm holding the save a bit longer than officially allowed. I am sure they know it's time to pass it on (actually, I can see they have already done so...).

We have the rule, but no sanctions defined in case of violation.
In interpretation of our rules I decide, that the violating team has to pay 1 gp per 1 Minute delay to the following team.

No way! That's unfair! It's better 1gp per hour te EACH team ;-)

complaint partly approved! The penalty is: 10gp per hour to the following team and 1gp per hour to the other teams.
The sentence is final and immediately enforceable...

Agreed.
And as to the exceptional circumstances raised by vondrack - hey - other teams have been in unusual positions. We could have used more time with the Lux situation, and with our first attempt on Bob.
And they sounded so ceratin about what they wanted to do in the public forum.
Anyways - there are going to be many cases of unusual circumstances in the days ahead. The 24hr rule should be respected.
But maybe we will give them this one - OK.

Trip can verify that we were ready to send the save a full hour before our time would have been up. Nathan must have had some connection problems, no changes were made after that point.

That is something I would rather not see...
Not that it would be out of character at all.
Edit: Ahhh, and on that note, the thread has reached 500 posts. Time for Ming to lock it.

Yes. It's a policy here at Apolyton that threads will be locked at 500 replies to save server resources.
At least, that's their excuse.

We know where we're going, unlike those who invade into the darkness... Perhaps we should have offered our maps to Vox, it may have helped them avoid such mistakes.
ps. Check your PM's if you already haven't GF.

If we keep every turn for 24 hours, I'm sure no team will ever go to war with again ![Wink](http://static.apolyton.net/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif) , if that isn't creative thinking, I don't what is...
