Did you just put Joseph Stalin and Ralph Nader in the same class? I finaly understand why everyone makes fun of you.

Well the fact that they are both nuts made me put them in the same class.

I'd put Nader in the same class as Stalin as two people who'd **** up this country .

Nader should never become a president. First, he would not never get elected. Second he would not be able to pass legislation he wanted. Third, his policy would ruin the country.
Nader, however, makes a fine opposition leader and great consumer advocate.

Damn it, don't do that. We have enough right-wing lunatics here as it is. Go to Canada. They need more right-wingers for balance. I hear there is nice real estate in Alberta...

Anyways, another person I would like to see president would of been Richard Nixon... if he were still alive and could serve more terms.

He had his shot at it. Remember Watergate? The only time he would be allowed back near the Whitehouse is to whitewash it. Literally

Getting back on-topic by just answering the question directly without digressing into rediculous roundabout arguements about people who've already had their turn at the Presidency and whether or not they did a good job OR people who are already DEAD AND GONE...
Anyone who either isn't Caucasian, isn't well-to-do, isn't Christian, or isn't male. Any difference of those qualities would be a nice, long overdue change of pace.

Mike Ditka. or Da Bears.
Though Ditka could do better. Though he would probably run on a democratic ticket.
On the Republican side let Ronald Reagan run again... That would be funny.

Hrm. I don't think anyone's mentioned it yet, but someone with some integrity from those early days like George Washington or Benjamin Franklin or something. Or Teddy Roosevelt (IIRC first even semi-environmentalist president.)
Or maybe someone who could win the election. *Cough* Al Gore *Cough*
Okay, that's my Ranting for today
For fun, I'll say:
Bill Gates
A really good-looking chick (get people involved in our country's politics faster than anything else I know of!!! )
Tickle Me Elmo
I do think it'd be nice if a woman got elected Prez, and probably would run the country 3x better, but as it is now, probably will not happen. I mean, it might, but I'm kinda doubtful.
A black President would be good too, would really help open up the Presidency to people other than fat balding white males.
Of course, we could drop the age limit lower than 35 and really get some really good candidates...

Um.... John Lennon couldn't run for President. You have to be born in the US to be President.

I think Bill Gates would actually make a great president.
He's not a big fan of meddling around with other countries, donates billions of dollars to charities, and co-founded and ran one of the most successful companies in history.

Rush Limbaugh.
Colin Powell would be nice, for reasons beside the color of his skin. (How idiotic it is to want to vote for someone simply because they are black.)

I think Sava should be President, if only because the US would no longer be a superpower when he was through. And not by his design either.

In the media and politics, I can't say there is anyone I would like to see become president. There are qualities that I would want this person to have though...
-- Social Libertarian (Pro-Choice, Pro-Legalization)
-- Someone not political... a person who won't play politics and will speak frankly and honestly to the public
-- Someone who will enforce and uphold the Constitution... seperating religion from government, someone who won't conduct business in secret and create a police state...
-- a commander-in-chief who doesn't act in the interests of corporate America, and who won't play policeman (i.e. someone who will solve problems with diplomacy instead of making them worse with a gun)
And someone who is NOT THE MEMBER OF A POLITICAL PARTY. Party politics are what's wrong with America. BOTH SIDES SUCK! I want someone who will choose the right people to surround him/her (cabinet/advisors) based on their competence for the job regardless of politics.
And lastly, someone who will listen to the masses instead of corporations, special interests, and lobbyists.
