Will you fix the search feature?
Why can it search for three letter words?
AND is not the only three letter word in english.
Some time ago I want to find a thread about some music
'mp3' is not allowed in the search
Today I wanted to find posts about the Red Front scenario
'red' is not allowed in the search

Searches are very server intesive, so the functionality was reduced due to the recent loads. I believe wild card searches were turned off; it used to be that you could use an * to search for 3 lettered words.

ok, so they are server intensive.
but they tremedously increase the quality of the forums. How much more noise would there be if all the subjects would repeat themselves, etc.?
I think search is more important then most other features I can think of.
And I couldnt find anything with 'mp3' nor 'red'. very frustrating.

Still, just a handful of posters conducting searches simultaneously can bring down the entire server, and that is much worse than disabling searches that include small words.

It seems to me that searching for words in thread titles is in vain. It never gives me any search results.

Poor poly server. Soon we will be back to text only pages to save bandwidth and strain

Images aren't what's slowing it down, unless you count looking up everyone's avatar when they post...
The problems is the CPUs on the server are weak.

Yeah, that was a pretty bad crash tonight.
Kept getting what looked like a generic error page.

The best search feature currently available is posting a thread asking if anyone knows where the thread you are looking for is.

If you have a thread in mind you can often remember who started the thread you want. The only searches I have done have been for threads started by user x.....these seem to work well.
