I'll second that. IrfanView is a longtime fav.
Easy to use, has radio-button selections for various sizes on the resize dialog and is just a generally good app.

Congratulations ducki! I was actually wondering where you had gone off to these past few days (low post count on 'Poly). If this is your first, I don't expect much from you around here anymore, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the game (and 'Poly!) a lot more when you do get the time to play. On that note, AU202 is fun stuff...I say drop the family and hit the computer.

Don't know. My version (with 2000 pro) can't save as jpeg. What's crazy is that I then use MS Photo Editor (Office 2000) to save a bmp as a jpg. Glad I could pass on the 58% tip rather than force someone to go through the pain I did in trying to find the right shrink size!

Congratulations! I have a 4-yr old, but we also had twins in January. My wife and I worked out a system where I would go to bed very early (+/- 8:00 pm) and she would take care of the twins until 2:00 am or so. I would get up at 3:00 or 4:00 am and take care of them while my wife slept in. "Taking care" of the twins largely meant bottle-feeding them and then watching as they went back to sleep. In the meantime, I played Civ 3 from 4:00 am until 9:00 am. Haven't had so much Civ 3 play time since the twins started sleeping through the night .

I use Infraview as well. The Might and Magic pcx certificates needed to be converted and it did the job.

If I come back to this at a later date, I definitely want to play it, and I'll probably try Arabs.

Congratulation Ducki.
My son is only 3 1/2 months so we are in the same boat (regarding lack of free time). I only get to play from 5:00 to 8:00 Saturday and Sunday mornings. On the plus side it will take a long time to get sick of this game.

I'm looking forward to further AU play, and this one looks like a blast.
It's going to be sooo hard not to look at the spoiler thread.
P.S. Thanks all, I won't be around as much, but I'll probably be lurking from time to time.

Congrats ducki!!
I've recently started a new job, which has taken me away from Civ and 'poly. And, I'm getting married in the spring, and kids will be on the way sooner rather than later...
I'm looking to you guys to guide me in how to provide for Civ-time!!
Starting AU 202 tomorrow.

Theseus
My advice is to wait 30 years and then start playing again. That's what I did.
Meantime, before we hijack this thread completely, here's another scout and expand start that is an absolute hoot. Cows, wheat, and huts everywhere you look.

What happened to the spoilers thread?
I finally finished it as much as I'm going to, and want to post a short AAR, with screenie and save.

Looking forward to reading your AAR.
There's a link to the spoilers in the first post.
