and if you want to compare pasts, I admit Greece has been through the gutter recently (recently, in historical terms)
but I look at Jews and I feel a bit better
but JUST a bit.

 Wow, what a trollfest!
Paiktis reminds me of the father from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." He:
1) Loves to point out that various English words come from Greek roots (but can't seem to use them properly)
2) Is utterly convinced that Greek history and culture is superior to all others
3) Ignores any and all proof the the contrary
It's moderately amusing, as was the movie. You know, Paiktis kinda reminds me of Fez in a way...

I even posted the definition in English for you and still get it wrong.
In English it means the same, the ability to feel another's emotions.
For all the talk, you're the one looking more like the product of U.S. public schools...

Rabid nationalism at its best.
Greek history and culture certainly goes back a long way and has had great influence on the world, but there are other contenders out there, you know. It's pretty arrogant to flatly state that yours is the best. There are some Chinese folks who may disagree, for instance.
Tell me again how "Kimono" comes from Greek, Paiktis.

Paiktis, my references to "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" are not meant to imply that the movie is an education documentary about Greeks & Greek Culture, but rather that you are a caricature. A living, breathing stereotype.
If, for instance, I was confronted with an American ubernationalist nutcase, I would probably make reference to the SAC General in "Dr. Strangelove."

Truth is I dont troll. Not really. A handful of people have grudges about me so if I say something they take a pot shot at me - and get more of the same.
but thats their problem
most others of what you see here are friends and all is fun intended
but dont tell me about dr.strangelove "stereotypes"
50% of americans support torture and thats not a movie...
