What about a post game ceremony?
Anyone interested in a post game ceremony with awards? Like most useless city position. Best attack plan, etc.
Maybe we can get MarkG to let the winning team have a trophy icon by each member's name to rub it in until the end of the next game.

Why, you GoWs are planning to put cities in dumb locations to win a trophy? Oops, that belongs in the trash talking thread.
Yeah, sure, why not? Excellent idea GF!
Let's start a list of proposed award categories and after everyone has entered their suggestions, start a multi-choice poll where everyone can vote for the categories that he likes and the 10 most popular categories will be the ones chosen for the ceremony.
So far we have most useless city position and best attack plan. I suggest that we add greatest cultural center (for the city with the most culture points) and greatest moneycow (for the city that produces the most commerce).
Only one question remains: who will host the ceremony?

Great idea!
Maybe the teams may submit 3-4 or more persons to a poll against competitors from each other team and we put it to a worldwide vote for each award, with just a list of names to choose from, like "Who gets the 'best-attack' plan?" and etc.
?

Great idea. My suggestions:
Best name for a great leader.
Best scenic view from a city (Glory of Water excluded)
Best Foreign Relations letter (RolePlayers excluded - hey we gotta equal the playing field somehow.)

There should be 10 serious ones (Winner of the game of course being a team catagory)
Perhaps ones for the various offices with each civ sending in one nomination from their civ and a write up for why their candidate deserves the award:
1) Best Leader/President
2) Best General/Military Commander
3) Best Domestic Minister/Public Minister

OK - a serious one.
The Nobel Peace prize for the least warlike/most peaceful civ. (exact definition yet to be determined.)

There can be humorous ones as well. Then we can type up an end of game report with the results of the polls announcing who won which award for the main page.

as for serious ones we should cover the majar categories.
You have the obvious one- winner.
Perhaps one for most population
another for largest military.
another for most cultural influence
As for non serious we could have one for the civ that used the most nukes . or got nuked the most.

We could have pseudo awards at the end of each Age with the winners of each Age competing for the End O Game Awards.

psuedo-awards at end of Age; with those who are farthest ahead in Sci, Milit, Overall, or something like that.
At the end of the game, these get bonuses for the score countup for the Best Civilization of All Time.
Other ideas:
1) Slowest Response
They kept the save for 3 days!!!
2) Quickest Response
They must've disbanded their first settler
3) Best Civ of All Time
Score countup, with bonuses from Age winners
4) Best City Positioning
How they managed to find a city with EVERY strategic AND lux resource is beyond me.
5) Worst City Positioning
Their capital is on a one-tile desert island. That sucks.
6) Best Diplomacy
They had the world kissing their feet, voluntarily.
7) Worst Diplomacy
I hope they get shot on the walk home from the rewards ceremony.
8) Best Use of a Situation
They took a once-in-a-game chance and came out on top.
9) Best Leader
Was able to handle all matters in the Empire.
10) Most Beaurocratic Civ
They held up the save because there was a tie on whether to impeach the leader because they moved the worker the wrong way in Modern Ages.

Is anyone keeping track of the scores? Maybe we can average the scores out for each age and get winners for the age.
But I doubt anyone is motivated enough to copy all the scores for each turn. It certainly isn't me

Yep. The score you see in the F-something screen is the average of all the scores every turn.
