Philosophy Philosohpy
A weird thing happened last night.
I was playing American SP in a medium sized world. Some time in the early game(~300BC), I received the message 'The Golden Age of Philosophy begins in the Spanish city of Madrid...'. A few turns later, the message 'Spanish civ destroyed by barbarians'! When I finally comes to the philosophy, I get...'The Golden Age of Philosophy begins in the American city of Washington...'
That Philosophy bonus happened twice in my game!

When an AI civ is destroyed everything about it is forgotten (except the powergraph), which explains that and other problems similar to this.

That seems rather backwards to me, as a programmer. Other tests done recently showed that even if you destroy the city with manhatten or apollo in it you can still build nukes and spaceships. It would seem to me that the philosophy flag should be a global one that once flipped on would not be reversed by destroying the civ.
Oh well, chalk up another one for the great mysteries of the game. Will they ever cease? I doubt it!

Someone once told me that "Nyet" is Russian for "Yes, but..."
If you destroy a civ/city with a Wonder, you can not rebuild the Wonder, correct?

I think Smokey is right, but that is rather weird.

Some people say that
when a woman says no, it means perhaps,
when she says perhaps, it means yes,
when she says yes , it means you had better run.
(those people are ugly "machos" and we all strongly disagree with them, of course).
