Resignation
My heart's just not in this anymore. I've been involved with this game for...six months or so now. I apologise for the f***up this will cause, but I'm sure VP cavebear can pick us up and lead our nation to glory.
It's been kind of a sudden thing too. It's not like I don't have the time - I've just, very suddenly, got sick of most of the stuff I do online, particularly that which is game-related. I've already pulled out of several games at another site, and as much as I've tried to soldier on (particularly through that ***** of a first session), it's too much of a stress, and I think it'd be best for everyone if I handed the reins back to cavebear.

Eh? You can't be serious. You were elected to serve this month, so that's what you're supposed to do. If you didn't want to serve, then why did you run?

I understand. That's why I wanted to get away for a few months. Anyways, cavebear, looks like it's up to you now!

Very sad, DE. We'd appreciate it if you would take a day or two to think about it.
Your leadership would be a breath of fresh air, and I personally was looking forward to an interesting month.
Please reconsider. (No hard feelings if you can't get it up to continue. You've been a valued contributor to the community who is welcome to participate, on whatever level, anytime.)

I'm very sorry to read this DE, but I respect your decision and understand your reasons. I hope that you will return to active leadership sometime not too long from now.

Well that is a shame, personally, it doesn't matter his reasons, i understand some of you are upset, but i think your responses are harsh and not necessary.
He wants out, his life has changed in someway and hes obviously burnt out with his online commitments.....
why not just respect that, govts are full of things like this, we could always pretend he was knocked out like Nixon was....
The VP takes over.....and new elections for next month will have to take place, its really quite simple when you think about it

I'm sorry to here that you overextended yourself, DE but I do hope you'll come back soon.
John-
People in glass houses... If DE doesn't want to stand for his presidency, we can't force him. What are you going to do, go over and bust a kneecap?
Looks at current ministerial positions.
Cavebear- I can help out, but it will have to wait until the 16th. No can do any sooner.

I ain't busting no-ones knee-cap! Yes, I pisst that he quit (for what I think) just because he didn't put up screen-shots (I think these a better reason,) I'm also sad that shock that he went too!

Sh*t happens. Just don't let it drown you, no-one will mind if you have to swim along the top for a while....

Can you serve as Minister of City-Planning after the 16th? It would be Presidentially appreciated.
And please send me an email to cavebearathome@comcast.net so I can send you the game file.
