1.05 Way:
-download the patch
-open a scenario, edit it, and save as something else

Traditional Way:
-mess around with the *.eug and *.inc files in the Scenario directory

When you download scenarios that other people have created, do they change the way the existing scenarios play?

Does anybody have any experience with the EU2 scenario generator that somebody made?

Has anybody played the Africa Universalis scenario that is downloadable from the Paradox site?

I'm asking these questions because I try to be very careful about downloading and installing stuff before I am sure what it does to other files, etc.

There are a few major scenario projects in EU 2: the Event Exchange Project (EEP), the Alternate Grand Campaign (AGC), the Age of Nationalism (AoN), and the Imperium Francoform Universalis (IFU). The EEP and the AGC both add events, leaders, monarchs, and countries to the standard Grand Campaign (GC), but have different event philosophies. The AoN simulates the period following the end of the GC to the start of WWI - 1820 to 1914 (with relevant countries, leaders, monarchs, events, economics, and demographics). The IFU simulates the rise of the Franks to the beginning of the GC - ~700 - 1419 (ditto).

I use the EEP and the AoN, and think they're both excellent (although I regurlarly contribute to the AoN project so maybe that's just bias talking ). I haven't gotten around to trying the AGC yet, and IFU currently has text only in German so is unplayable to me.

I saw a scenario that in the readme says some files should be backed up. Does this mean that if i install the scenario my otehr games will be affected?

Unless the scenario create a new directory and file routing (like AGC) then all your games will be affected in some manner. I know for a fact that AoN renders the version of EU you install it on unusable for other games... EEP might be different but I'm not sure.

For the one you have, then yes, it probably will affect your current games if you install it.

what about making tiny changes to already eisting scenarios (say make more nations available for play)? Will existing games in that scenario crash, only be changed a little, or stay the same?

Existing games will not be affected by changes made to the scenario itself.
