Minimizing the screen
Is there a way to minimize PTW so I can get on with other tasks without exiting? In civ3 I could use the task manager to do this, but now it no longer works (W2000). Instead I get a black screen when I maximize again and have to reinstall the whole profgram from scratch (twice now). Ctrl-tab does not work either. Has anyone got a simple solution for this?

Try Alt-Tab.

Try the "Windows key" and "d". This should get you back to your desktop.
It's what I do at work

Yes, this works great! I bow to the person here on the forum who turned me on to this shortcut.

I just discovered that my game won't stay minimized now. It just keeps popping up if I get a unit flashing. Bloody hell!

It also occupies your screen as soon as you open another window from your desktop...

I notice that too. Is there a workaround to keep it minimized and stable?
