? Re PTW and Great Lighthouse
In Civ III Great Lighthouse Wonder permitted open sea travel for Galleys. With PTW (and Patch), Great Lighthouse has no effect on whether a galley sinks in the Open Sea or not.
Has anyone else experienced this. Infogrames just sends me a form message saying "try the patch" which I have. Any ideas?

GL allows sea travel for Galleys, and ocean travel for Caravels.

I didn't know it allowed Ocean travel for Caravels...
I assume everything is coastal until I have Astronomy and Magnetism.

I just tested this with 1.14f and it seems to work properly. Properly meaning with it all ships can travel sea safely. It also means that galleys and caravels have a 50% chance of sinking in ocean a turn (I tested this also). Magellan's Voyage allows all ships safe travel.
