Do the extra units have a civilopedia entry?

unfortunately no. They don't even have pedia icons. However, with TETurkhan's mod, there are some pretty good dino icons.

I have to wonder why they didn't at least include the pedia icons. Bit of a half assed effort there for sure.

I agree. The 'extras' should've come with pedia icons and entries. Those Japan and WWII units were the main reason I bought PTW (that and the new editor) - not multiplayer.
