First, I'd challenge almost anyone on the list for haivng done something for the "good of the community," as that's a pretty nebulous and subjective term.
I have provided, in addition to general fabulousness, indespensible education on classical music and opera, including the opera summary thread a while back. And that was work, dammit!

In other words... all you have ever done is post off topic.
You have never provided new or indepth knowledge of any game which helped people better understand the games they love...
You have never given any of your time to help this site by volunteering for tasks.
You have never even contributed a column to be published.
You aren't responsible for any of the traditional elements of the OTF... like the Coffee House... Sports Contests... Finnish thread... ect...
Many of the people in the HOF can say at least one of the above.
All you can say is that you "worked on a thread"...
Oh please...

You seem to be more deserving than Boris...
He's been here just over a year, doesn't really post on topic... and does nothing for the site except to post in the OTF. What a real communty guy...

Most of the folks on the list are predominant Off-T people.
And I post On-topic plenty. Including bringing up many issues in the PtW forum.
One does not make it to Prince being just an OTF guy!
So .

That just shows your lack of knowledge of Apolyton in General. Most of the "OTF'ers" you refer too started as On Topic posters... They came to this site for the gaming, and ended up in the OTF... unlike you, who came for the OTF. And Gee, you are a prince. That kind of sums up how little you post on topic.
Again... what have you ever done for the community... Anything at all?

Not true, either. I started very much as an on-topic poster, you can do a search. I was here in the Civilizations forum, and very involved on the debate of which civs should be in the game.
The point is most of those who got elected did so while known as OTF posters. And so what?
Among other things, I also was the first to create an in-depth tutorial on how to add units to PtW:
http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=66922
Again I say.
Now quit this spamming and let the vote continue.

I never claimed to be a big on-topic poster. Just refuted that I never did.
And so what? That's not a prerequisite for anything, is it? Didn't think so.
Oh wait...it's the Ming criteria for Hall of Fame, which obviously we all must follow!

Well Boris... still not enough. With rare exception, most of the people who are in the HOF have done 10... 20... 30 times your very limited contributions to the community. But go ahead... trade your votes with other people... shows what you really think...

...that I think people are going to vote for people based on whatever criteria they choose, and doing so is perfectly fine? How shameful!
Now stop being so mad because people you don't like happen to get votes. It's unbecoming.

You mean to have a chance in these awards, I need to play that godawful time-consuming game that eats up memory and runs like a dog, and, not only that, get so obsessed by it that I spend all my free time talking about it on the internet?
will I get banned for that?

The whole thing is a popularity contest anyway. The purpose of all these elections is just fun and silliness. All the way back to the first one...

Ming, ming, ming...this spam is so not like you. Except for the usual profusion of smilies.
Just because we can all see you only got in for being a mod, that's not reason to be mad at those who actually have to rely on charisma and intelligence to garner support.
