Scenario search path bug
I've noticed that you can't be too specific about the search path for scenarios. For example:
..\Extras\Medieval Japan;Double Your Plesasure is ok
..\Extras\Medieval Japan;Double Your Pleasure\Art\Civilopedia\Icons\Units isn't OK and will cause the game to crash whenever it tries to access that information (in this case the DyP pedia icons for units)
What this means is that if you want the DyP icons (or indeed any one specific folder) you have 3 choices:
1. Copy the files to the PTW folder
2. Copy the files to a new folder with the same name as your bix
3. Accept all the other files that DyP uses. For example, whilst you won't get all the DyP techs (since you haven't added it to your bix) you will get the new science advisor screens, with the wrong arrows pointing the wrong way.
Which makes the scenario search path feature a bit useless, really.

No, Zulu, there is a 4th option. Make a mod that has just the problematic stuff in it and include it into your search path. This is what I have done. This is kind of like your option 2, but a bit more flexible.
The problem is that you are trying to include too big of mods and as you stated you get the whole thing unless you are very careful about the paths.
I like your idea of allowing more specific portions of the path than the whole scenario to be specified. This would be more elegant than any of the options that you or I have listed. Mike B, please do this.

You're right: there is a 4th option. But the whole point behind the scenario search path feature is to save on diskspace so that you don't have duplicate files in different folders.

I'm not disagreeing with you. That is how it should work. I wish I would have thought of that in the first place, but I didn't think of the issue of partial mods.

I don't suppose a Firaxian feels like saying whether or not this will be addressed in the next patch?
