can't build forbidden palace.. help?
According to the booklet it says that i need 8 cities to build a forbidden palace.

I'm using america and I have more than 10 cities, yet there's no option to build a forbidden palace....

Where do you want to build it? Remember that you can't build it in your capitol. Try other cities.

8 cities on a standard map. Do you play on standard map?

Also do you play with standard rules? Modified rules (such as a different value for the number of optimum cities) can alter the requirements for the FP.

and no i'm trying to build it in another city to reduce corruption.

There is also the problem with 'polluted shields'. Have you disbanded troops to give production a head-start?

Oh, one of your advisors will inform you that 'the people wants you to build the FP' the turn after you have enough cities, have you seen that message yet?

AFAIK the number is 16 for huge maps.

Yes, confusing isn't it (At least that the Civilopedia doesn't mention anything about it)
