I'd be willing to go with Ducki and BRC, as we are looking for more or less the same kind of game... Moreover, BRC and I are in the same situation (i.e. still at school and having to study hard!! err... maybe! ) We are still looking for someone else...

We are ready to start game 1 with the attached mod. It's a MP mod of the latest (1.15) AU mod.
Please feel free to examine the readme and/or the bix file and comment before we start, which will hopefully be some time tomorrow, after we have decided on our civ choices.
[Edit: Oops, I forgot the debug mode on. Replaced the attached file and added v1.15 readme]

You guys want to try a five-person game on a tiny map? With little space we will get right down to the shootin'
First item on the agenda will be civ picking.

In the second game, we need to pick civs. I'll go last after others pick and reserve the right to whine that I couldn't get what I wanted.

Tiny map = archer rush. Are you sure you want that?
I'm not going to pick a civ until we have the map size finalized.
Map Size : Distance between capitols
Tiny : 6
Small : 9
Standard : 12

I'm the only one that likes tiny maps for pbem i guess. I'm now going to be the moderator of game two and we need to track down trickey to enter game two.
Anyway, why wait for archers. Go with Aztec warriors and get it over with.

I see wildly cerifing distances between capitals in all of my games on Tiny maps.
In one game on a tiny map, 1 of the AIs was on a small contienant with nearby island chain all by himeself, while the other 2 AIs and myself were on the big contientant.
In my current game, it looked like 2 of the AIs capitals were only 5 tiles apart. Me and the other AI had sufficent room to grow. (All of us on a long, windy Pangena with several smaller islands.)

Maybe we could try Archipelago to see if that diminishes the ultra-early Archer rush?

Or we may have a tiny/small archipelago map? It may be a good compromise: greater distance between the capitols, but we still have to watch for early agression... As for my Civ, I'll see but I'd like to go with the Babs or even Vikings....

If we play a archipelago map, I wouldn't mind trying the Ottomans. Any objections??

DaveMcW and jshelr, which Civs do you prefer?
I truly don't have any civ that I will be disappointed about if I don't get, so go right ahead.

I vote for small/archipelago or small/continents.
Zulu for continents or Greeks for archipelago.

We could not find trickey today so I switched with him and I'm in game one. He is in game two. I will act as the moderator/temporary substitute for you guys.

jshelr, who set up game 1? If you did, did you get to see information that you're not supposed to (like the map)? It's not a big deal, really, I'm just curious (of course, if you beeline for my capital with Archers, I'll complain loudly!).

I set it up, and my archers are on the way!
No, the map was randomly generated. I have no information other than my starting location, and the settings (see the first post of the game 1 thread).

PBEM#2
I have set a thread for our game in the PBEM forum.
http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=73394
We can discuss about game parameters there...

You can safely assume the Iroquois are not going to beeline toward you -- with archers, that is.
