File missing...
SGs, I reinstalled my computer and now Hutfinder doesn't work any longer...
The message I get is:
Quote:
|
Run-time error 333
Component MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
|
And I can find no file named MSCOMCTL.OCX , so I guess that's the problem... (ain't I smart?? )
Could you please mail me this file (vfrache@hotmail.com), or post an explanation if the problem is deeper than I thought...
Thanks

There is a selection of downloads in this thread or one of the previous ones. Just download them and whack them in your windows folder with all the dll's and such like. If you can't find the files then googling for them will also work.

It works quite well now!
It's really a great utility!
I'm using it for the specials in my first scenario creation, and it's immensely useful!
I'll post a thread on its use for scen creation soon!

I regret that afaik there is no version of Visual Basic for Macs - I'm not anally retentive about this - if anyone out there has a Mac and a suitable Visual programming language - I can send them the original code ...

Git leaks Hutfinder source code! I wonder if this will make front page news like HL2.

If I was a programmer, I would volunteer... but I'm not.
While I still mostly use my MS computer for MP, I did just get a new mac lap top for work, and installed Civ II MP so that both rah and I can play when he's at my place. It would be nice to have Hut Finder on my lap top.
I hope somebody with the appropriate skills will volunteer.

About leaking the source code - SG, if you want to add computation of seed number also from known specials then I can post you the appropriate part of the code of Civ2Beakers/Civ2Admin.
DrSpike, what is HL2?
