Apparently when I first visited Infogrames website after buying Civ3 to download the latest patch (March or April) I checked a box telling them to put me on their e-mail list for "news about new releases" or something along those lines

Finally got one! Dated 12/13, imagine my delight when they informed me...

Well, it makes sense that they wait until a few patches are out before they start spamming for customers, considering how screwy the initial release was.
