Any way to silence the noise in EU1?
I like to play music (non-game music) whilst playing, but the problem is that I can't turn off the noise (aka soundeffects) of the game. The level of noise stays put no matter whether I set the volume at 0 or 100.
I've tried deleting the sfx files, but the game won't run without them, so that isn't a solution either.
Any kind of suggestion would be much appreciated.

IIRC(I haven't played EU1 in ages), it's not the sound volume you should lower, but the other, on the same place.  It's like that in the newer games at least.

I don't understand what you mean. I just turn music and sound off in the options meny but it keeps producing noise.

Nope, I'm still hearing "clicking sounds" whenever I click on a province for instance.
