Still too mesmerized by Egyptian beauties to be punctual. Crassus' humbly offers apologies for his tardiness.

"Message to Julius Caesar":
Thou hast tarried too long, feeble one! The Gallic armies have surrounded Lugdunum with a ring of steel, and now only Death may rescue thee from this trap of thy own making! As for thy "counterattack" near Tolosa? Pah! The Gauls laugh at these pinpricks! Know ye well that Narbo shall be plucked like a ripe pomegranate at the time of our choosing!
"Message to Pompous the Gilded Whore":
Alas, the Gauls have no gift of heads for thee this month, evil-doer. Enjoy this respite while it lasts....

Unrest at the Camp
An epidemic of petty thievery was dealt with by executing a local village. The epidemic didn't heed the execution and petty thievery continues unabated. Another local village is scheduled for execution next week.

Pompeys' armies rest idle for a month, enjoying Vercingetorix's generous gift of 'respite'. Meanwhile, the defenders of Brigantium construct breastworks out of their own breeches soiled in fear while contemplaiting their impending doom.

I understand that Vercingetorix is held in fear of the mighty Pompey but his legions must not sit idle any longer! Where are you Kull???

Iberian Invasion
In countless numbers - like unto the trees in the endless Germanic Forests - the Hordes of Gaul descended from the Pyrenees and swept into the unsuspecting cities of North Iberia. Caesar Augustus and Tarraco are now firmly under the control of the victorious Gallic Armies, with many more soon to fall. As the siege trains draw nigh upon the walls of Saguntum, Emporium, Toletum and Pallantia, know ye this Pompeieus Maleficius - the time for trembling and quivering and death is at hand for all who bear allegiance to thy dishonored standards!

The triumphant Aegyptian forces have entered Jerusalem. The rogue state of Jerusalem has been pacified. The fortifications have become ours and a standard contingent of locals were sold into slavery.

Am I mistaken or is that the place where they filmed Indiana's Last Crusade? The city carved out of a mountain?

You are correct sir! My father was there a few years ago and was quite impressed, commenting that "pictures don't do it justice".

Now that everyne's favorite Magyar has got the DL problem fixed (hopefully ) then I guess we can continue.
oh BTW Techumseh just noticed this: on loading up, you have "Fanfare for the Common Man" playing, but I noticed that it's the Emerson, Lake and Palmer cover of it because I jsut got some stuff from Works Vol 1. So you're an ELP kind of guy or am I just reading into this too much?
