Greetings! It feels good to be back. Only two items for this month:
- Troops have responded to a disturbance in Emporium. Unfortunately, they had to be diverted from the mobilization at Salamantica.
- Roman citizens are complaining that the Gauls have been raiding the highway that goes from Salamantica to Toletum. Seeing that such activities decrease the inventory of the Roman coffers, it may be advisable for the Gaul player to get control of his troops or serious consequences could result!

Crassus has withdrawn troops from Parthia. A misunderstanding and urges that the treaty signed before is still in place. A Roman general got out of hand last month in his training of soldiers. He has been clearly dealt with. I demoted him to the honour post of horse food!
Not much happend, a little house cleaning. Its amazing what you can find with the right house cleaners.
Crassus does have one thought one his mind, should he protect the Jews. They haven't paid there tribute to him this year and the risk of war for them is very, how we say unwillful with Egypt.

"Message to Julius Caesar":
The King of the Gauls wishes to apologize for his belated acknowledgement of last month's splendid gift. The beautiful golden Eagle now decorating the Halls of his Palace in Alesia was truly a most spectacular present. On behalf of the farmers of Biteriges he would also like to thank the Legion it came from, as they have generously donated corpses beyond counting for the purpose of fertilizing the fields outside that fair city. But this most recent gift is proof that Caesar's thoughtfulness knows no boundaries. For the past month, the Head of your General looked so forlorn upon it's spike - but now he has company! Truly, the sight of of TWO dripping General's heads is one that our King finds most pleasurable to gaze upon.
And Behold! We see that Caesar himself is now journeying up the Rhone River valley into Gaul. Rest assured that our armies - in numbers as vast as the count of sands upon the shore - are gathering to show him a welcome deserving of his exalted status. So come forth Caesar - empty thy cities of their garrisons and follow us deeper and deeper into the woods and fields of Gaul. And take comfort in the certainty that thy neighbors are peaceable and uninterested in your growing weakness!
"Message to Pompey the Great":
The bandits which afflict you come not from the forces of Gaul in northern Spain - our nearest garrison lies hundreds of leagues from the highway 'tween Salmantica and Toletum! However, if Pompey would seek a neighbor with boundless ego and proven agressive intent - he need look no further than his border with Caesar!

I'm really sorry, guys, but something came up this morning and I don't think I can continue playing, at least for several months. It was my first PBEM game and it was a lot of fun. Again, I'm sorry to drop out after the second turn, but I think I going to have to. Thanks tecumseh for the great scenario!

Tingis has been convinced to join the almighty Spanish legions under the leadership of the exhaulted Pompey the Magnificent. Gaulish possessions in Iberia would be wise to do likewise.

This is most embarrasing, but I've forgotten my password. Is there any way to recover it, or change it? Sorry guys, lately I feel like I'm suffering from premature Alzhiemer's.
