There's supposed to be an Initial Era selector in Scenario Properties, but I can't seem to find it.

Maybe I just need to get my eyes checked soon.

It's by Player (!) -- Under "Scenario Properties", enable the "Custom Player Data" option in the Scenario menu. This gives you TWO tabs under "Scenario Properties", "Scenario" and "Players". Go to "Players".

From the on-line "Help" -- "For each player in your scenario, you can override global defaults for treasury, starting units, difficulty level, starting era, government, and free technologies, as well as color, name, and gender."

You don't need your eyes checked Willem, just X-ray vision ...

Abraxas,

Oz

Ah yes, thank you. It's not exactly self-explanatory is it? I can't really think why they felt the need to require an extra checkbox. If I don't change anything it just follows the defaults anyway, so what's the point of that extra step?.

I'm not sure if I'll ever use those options, but it's always nice to know where they are, just in case I'm in the mood.
