I will be using my connections to enjoy this view on New Year's Eve at The Opera Bar (see if you can see me on the website!  ) for the New Year's fireworks in Sydney - apparently they're rather good...

I was close to being able to go to Chicago for the AIAS Forum this year, but I didn't have enough money for airfare and hotel.  So, I'll be home asleep as usual...not big on getting sh*t-faced.
Though Sydney sounds VERY nice, especially in or near the Quay!
