#1 Social Democrat
#2 Social Liberal - "Like all liberals, you believe in individual freedom"...
yet I said exactly the opposite in the first question.
#3 Third Way
#4 Communist - "You believe, at least in theory, in absolute equality of income"...
Quite interesting, when we'll keep in mind that I said exactly the opposite in this identical
question of the quiz. Wutang!
#5 Ecologist or green
#6 Fascist - now you're talking!
#7 Market liberal
#8 Anarcho-capitalist - This is not one of the last ones? Disturbing.
#9 Classical socialist
#10 Libertarian conservative
#11 Anarcho-communist
#12 Christian democrat

It's one of the free ones. You can create them yourself.
Since none of these categories come close to describing me, the outcome is necessarily strange.
1. Classical Socialist
2. Third Way
3. Green
4. Social Democrat
5. Christian Democrat
6. Communist
7. Social Liberal
8. Libertarian Conservative
9. Anarcho-communist
10. Market Liberal
11. Fascist
12. Anarcho-Capitalist
I put "low priority" on all the economic questions, that probably threw it, plus the fact that I dislike both liberal and communitarian definitions of freedom.

Hey, Snappy, didn't we talk about creating a new version of that strange test you gave us one day? How 'bout it?

The first and last few in the rank seem quite correct. The order of those in between are rather strange. Which is understandable of course.

well, i'm assumign thats what they meant. their literal translation "religion should be protected" doesn't seem like they mean any sort of non-secular state.
and besides, i had that on Agree / Moderate, and i still got Commie

Then shouldn't that be freedom of religion, instead of just religion? it's just as easy to interpret that the government is a theocracy protecting a single religion without a barrier between church and state.

Makes sense...
#1 Christian democrat
#2 Fascist
#3 Anarcho-Capitalist
#1 You are a Christian democrat - or, in the UK, a "One Nation conservative"; in other words, although you share the usual conservative belief in stability and duty, you believe that such duties include a responsibility on the part of the better-off to help those who are less fortunate. You will be socially conservative, but in favour of a mixed economy where the state does have a role in providing public services. Christian democracy arose after World War II, succeeding more doctrinaire Catholic parties dating from the 1870s.
#2 You are a fascist. You combine a strong belief in the nation with authoritarian social values, and a willingness to impose your views upon others. You strongly oppose immigration, and are willing to take radical action to combat it.
#3 You are an anarcho-capitalist. Anarcho-capitalists take the Jeffersonian belief that "that government is best which governs least", and extend it - "that government is best which governs not at all". The theory of anarcho-capitalism is that the market can replace the state as a regulator of individual behaviour (resulting in private courts, private policing etc.).
thanks

I'm actually in the process of researching it right now. I was going to have it done by next week, but I think early february is a more realistic goal.
In the meantime, if anyone can suggest a sensible way of calculating the position of a point in an equilateral triangle such that, given three numbers, each a person's relative tendency towards one of the corners compared to the other two, an accurate position for that person's inclinations within the triangle is given. If a person gives only answers tending towards one corner, he should end up in that corner, if answers relating to two corners, on the line between them, and so on. Bear in mind that each value is relative, not absolute- A person who scores {1, 0, 0} should end up in the same place as one who scores {62, 0, 0}. This relativity is because there will be many alternatives for each question, some worth more points than others, and because there will be an "important-not important" scale.

2 - Ecologist or Green
3 - Third Way
4 - Social Democrat
Then it went a bit weird, can't remember exactly what I got, but they had little relevance anyway.

Snappy: I'm assuming the triangle refers to liberalism-socialism-conservatism division of idelogies, right? What kind of questions were you planning to put in?
